Leadership & Governance

We have devised a leadership curriculum that details how we support the growth of our system leaders, headteachers, deputy headteachers, subject leaders, governors and trustees. In this area you can learn about our headteacher curriculum and programme of training for governors.

Headteacher curriculum

Our headteacher curriculum is available as an annual package. The core element of the package is 8 days of leadership training including a residential. We invite national speakers to our training and the whole programme is co-ordinated by Ofsted’s formal national trainer and curriculum leader.

Deputy headteacher curriculum. 

Our deputy headteacher curriculum follows a similar design template to our headteachers but is tailored to focus on specific areas such as behaviour and interview skills. This curriculum is set out over 5 says and also includes a residential.

Governors and Trustees 

Over the last few years we have designed and delivered a suite of workshops to support governance. Workshops are designed with our governance ‘conception of quality’ in mind. We seek to support governors and trustees so that they can fulfil the three main purposes of their role: 

• Strategic leadership 

• Accountability and assurance  

• Strategic engagement
